Easy Vegan Personal Pizza Dough Made With A Surprising Ingredient
What if I told you that the primary ingredient used to make a vegan egg substitute could also be used to make the easiest pizza dough on earth?
That’s right, you can make delicious, perfectly portioned pizza dough using tofu.
Yes, my posting this recipe was partly inspired by all the TikTok buzz going around about tofu dough.
But to tell you the truth, the first time I made tofu dough was a year or so ago, and it was inspired by this recipe–of course, replacing the greek yogurt with tofu.
You can make lots of great things with plain tofu dough, like bagels and cinnamon rolls, among other things.
But today, we’re going to jazz up our dough with some extra flavor to make the perfect personal-sized pizza crust.
This crust is:
- Perfectly sized for one person
- Garlicky and flavorful
- Slightly crisp and delicious thin crust
- Ridiculously easy to make
- Only uses 4 ingredients
- Has 9 grams of protein, depending on which tofu brand you use
How To Make It
This tofu dough comes together so quickly. All that needs to be done is to mash the tofu in a bowl, stir in a few other ingredients, and then give it a quick knead.
You’ll roll it out, transfer it to a parchment paper lined baking sheet, which helps make sure your crust won’t stick!
Next, top it with whatever your heart desires. You could go basic, with sauce and vegan mozzarella. Or, you could add some roasted veggies, meatless crumbles, or even sundried tomatoes with spinach. The possibilities are endless!
Bake your pizza at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 20-25 minutes, until your crust is golden brown and heated through. Then you’re done! Slice ‘er up and enjoy the perfect one-person pizza, from mixing bowl to plate in less than an hour.

Seasoned Personal Pizza Tofu Dough
Equipment
- Parchment paper (I found the crust stuck to the baking sheet a tad without the parchment paper, so I would highly recommend using it)
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup firm tofu about 1/4 block
- 1/4 cup + 3 tbsp self-rising flour
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, mash the tofu with a fork until it is in small, uniform bits. Add the flour, Italian seasoning, and garlic. Stir until it starts to come together in a dough ball, then turn it out onto a clean, floured surface.
- Knead gently until it comes together completely and isn't sticky. Roll the dough into a flat, uniform circle (roughly 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick). Carefully transfer to the lined baking sheet.
- Top with desired toppings (such as sauce, cheese, veggies or meatless crumbles). Bake at 400F for 10-15 minutes, until crust is lightly golden brown. Slice and serve. Enjoy!
I made this today for lunch and future meals and it turned out great! I used 1/2 tsp garlic powder instead of fresh and 1 tsp of a mix of salt, oregano, and basil per pizza. One bag of Daiya mozzarella and 8 oz of sliced mushrooms (I froze mine and threw them on top frozen) was perfect for 4 personal pizzas. I was able to fit 2 pizzas on one cookie sheet at a time and baked them 20 minutes. Delicious!
Fantastic! I’m so glad you enjoyed the recipe 🙂
