Planning Your Super Bowl Snacks? Make This Vegan Buffalo Dip!
I’ll be honest, I’m not the biggest sports fanatic that ever lived. Yeah, I can get into the game and everything sometimes, but for the most part I’m there for the Kitten Bowl and the ads. Oh yeah, and the snacks.
This vegan buffalo chick’n dip is the perfect shareable, dippable game day snack. You can serve it with tortilla chips, toasted baguette slices, bell pepper slices, celery or baby carrots. You could even serve it with soft pretzels if you have them. Whatever you have, and whatever you like!
As for me personally, I absolutely love spicy stuff. Buffalo wings are a fave (I’ll never not recommend this recipe) as well as buffalo wing dip. And my buffalo chick’n dip is the perfect replacement for the original.
You can also serve this hot or cold, it’s delicious either way. There have been times that I’ve eaten some straight from the fridge. Of course, I might just be a little weird. But hey–it’s good!
This dip:
- is spicy and meaty
- is creamy and cheesy
- is totally dairy-free
- can be ready in under 20 minutes
All the makings to be the superstar of your snack table.
Vegan Buffalo Chick’n Dip
Ingredients
- 10 ounce package vegan chick'n strips
- 8 ounce container vegan cream cheese
- 10.6 ounces plain unsweetened vegan yogurt
- 1 cup hot sauce of choice use less for milder dip
- 1 cup vegan cheddar shreds
- 1 tsp garlic powder or to taste
- 1 tsp onion powder or to taste
Instructions
- First, cook the chick'n strips according to package directions. Once cooled enough to handle, break or chop the strips into small pieces. Set aside.
- To a medium microwave-safe bowl, add 8 ounces of vegan cream cheese. Microwave for 20 seconds, then stir until smooth.
- To the cream cheese, add the vegan yogurt, hot sauce (use less for milder dip), cheddar shreds, garlic powder and onion powder, stirring until combined. Add in the chick'n and stir.
- Now microwave the dip for 4 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking time. Stir once more and microwave for 1 minute, until cheese shreds are fully melted within and dip is hot throughout.
- Spoon into a serving bowl and enjoy! Serve it with tortilla chips, crudites, or baguette slices.
