Vegan Polish Recipe Roundup For Your Easter Table

Vegan Polish Recipe Roundup For Your Easter Table

Growing up, Easter was a very special time. I recall fond memories of hand-crimping pierogi with my parents with from-scratch dough and cheese-loaded mashed potatoes. What many people refer to as stuffed cabbage was called “golumpkies” (or often, “gwumpkies”) in my house.

Sometime during the week before Easter, my dad would return home from work having stopped by the Polish deli on the way, picking up authentic kielbasa, cheese babka and fresh horseradish that could make your eyes water.

Since going vegan, I never had any intention in sacrificing these parts of my past—which is why I learned to do them vegan-style!

So without further ado, here’s a roundup of my favorite Polish recipes and products for Easter:

Vegan Golumpkies (aka Stuffed Cabbage)

Golumpki is a classic dish that me and my family make every single Easter—and yes, it is absolutely delicious! Find the recipe on my YouTube here.

Vegan Cheese Pierogi

I’ve posted my recipe for Vegan Pierogi right here on this blog. Every element is from scratch, so a bit of a labor of love, but totally worth it. Get the recipe here.

Vegan Kielbasa

This is basically the only brand of vegan kielbasa that I’ve ever been able to find, and I think it’s pretty good! I love it with a good douse of white horseradish from the Polish deli.

Vegan Raisin Babka

For a little something sweet, I can show you how I made a vegan raisin and cheese babka. I love babka with a good slab of vegan butter on it (nobody said it was healthy! haha) and man is it a great addition to an Easter table.

Vegan Hard-Boiled Eggs (Wundereggs)

These hard-boiled Wundereggs from Crafty Counter are a product I found at Wegmans, and I love them! They can easily be made into devilled eggs if desired. Find the product here!

And that’s the roundup! I hope this post helps you out somehow on your vegan journey. Especially if you’re Polish, as some of the recipes mentioned in this post are probably also dear to your heart as they are mine.

Thank you so much for stopping by. See you next time!
