New To Veganism? Get Started With This Simple 7 Day Meal Plan

Ready to get started on your vegan journey? Below I’ve compiled a simple meal plan for 7 days of vegan breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Feel free to follow the plan to the letter, or pick and choose specific recipes and meal ideas you’d like to try.

Going vegan can feel like a really drastic change at first, which is why some people might benefit from making the switch gradually; for example, you might swap out one non-vegan food item at a time (eggs, dairy, chicken, beef, etc) rather than all at once.

While this is certainly valid, those wishing to make the change cold turkey-or should I say cold tofurky-might benefit from meal ideas and guidelines, such as what I’ve laid out below.

Now, on to the meal plan!

Days 1 and 2

Breakfast: Non-Dairy Yogurt Parfait

In a serving cup, layer 1 cup of vegan yogurt-you can mix 1 teaspoon of ground flaxseeds into the yogurt if desired for a nutrition boost-with one sliced banana and 1/4 cup vegan cereal or granola. Top with 1 tablespoon of vegan chocolate chips, if desired.

Dinner: Pasta with marinara sauce and steamed broccoli. Top with dairy-free mozzarella shreds if desired.

Days 3 and 4

Lunch: Veggie Burger Parm, enjoyed on a toasted vegan bun.

Day 5

Dinner: Personal pizza with dairy-free cheese and Tofu Pizza Dough

Day 6

Dinner: Vegan turkey sub with lettuce, tomato, onion, banana peppers, vegan mayo and oil/vinegar.

Day 7

Lunch: Vegan turkey sub with lettuce, tomato, onion, banana peppers, vegan mayo and oil/vinegar.

Dinner: Vegetable roll sushi (make sure the kind you get doesn’t contain any fish)
