Grocery Shop With Me: Great Vegan Lidl Buys

Grocery Shop With Me: Great Vegan Lidl Buys

Being vegan can be a challenge, which is why it always feels great to find some outstanding vegan options at the grocery store. And there are certainly a lot of options out there, not the least of which are at Lidl.

Today I thought I’d share a little about my most recent trip to Lidl, including some of the great vegan items I found.

So let’s get to it!

First up, I found some ingredients for making homemade sushi. The sushi rice was only $1.99 I believe, as were the nori sheets. Though I haven’t exactly perfected my vegan sushi technique yet, I can say the ingredients were nice quality.

Next they had this Imperial margarine which, apparently, is accidentally vegan! I found it there for $1.17, which is a steal for a vegan butter option.

I found some great condiments there as well. Their hot sauce is only $1.55 a bottle, and in my opinion is comparable to Frank’s RedHot. They also sold agave nectar there, which is a great vegan alternative to honey.

Lidl also carried the—I believe it’s a new product—Impossible steak bites. I am super excited to try this, though I’m not sure what to make with it yet. If you have any suggestions, feel free to leave a comment!

Lidl had a vegan kimchi brand! I tried it and, being a person who never really had kimchi before, can say I actually liked it. They also had udon noodles for a steal, just 95 cents a package.

Huzzah! A taco seasoning packet that does not contain any milk ingredients. I love Lidl for that.

And that’s the haul! I hope you enjoyed this post, and perhaps got inspired to check out your local Lidl? Leave a comment of your favorite Lidl find!

Until next time, peace 🙂

P.S. I didn’t take a picture of it but I read the label and their sorbet is vegan! They had lemon and mango, and they both looked great.
