Summer Treats: My Favorite Vegan Ice Cream Recommendations

Summer Treats: My Favorite Vegan Ice Cream Recommendations

It’s officially summer (and hot as heck outside), so I would say it’s the perfect time for enjoying some frozen treats.

Whether it’s ice pops, ice cream, or any other frozen confection, in today’s post you’ll find my all-time favorite recommendations for what you should try. (not sponsored!)

So bookmark this post for the next time you’re in the grocery store, and let’s get to the list!

Ice Cream

Breyer’s Oatmilk Vanilla

I like this one because it’s a classic. I’ve shared it with non-vegans before who’ve said that it tastes very similar (if not just like) regular dairy ice cream. It’s the perfect base for your toppings, or just a plain scoop!

Tofutti Better Pecan

Butter pecan ice cream was a favorite of mine before I went vegan, and Tofutti’s offering definitely satisfies the craving! I also love Tofutti’s Vanilla Almond Bark ice cream.

Ben & Jerry’s Non-Dairy Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

I tried this one recently and I was pretty impressed. Cookie dough ice cream is such a nostalgic treat, and I appreciated the amount of cookie dough balls that were in the ice cream.

Ice Pops

Original Bomb Pops

The original Bomb Pops are dairy-free and vegan! They’re a classic summer treat, with cherry, lime and blue raspberry flavors.

ICEE Red Cherry and Blue Raspberry Squeeze Tubes

These are fun and definitely refreshing on a hot day. They come in a box with two flavors, Cherry and Blue Raspberry. Great for an afternoon at the pool!

Budget Saver Twin Pops

These were a summer staple during my childhood. Mom would buy them at the grocery store for me and my friends to enjoy. And I still enjoy them, even as an adult! Pro tip: the banana is the best flavor.

Extras

Tofutti Cuties Ice Cream Sandwiches

Everyone loves an ice cream sandwich, and these are the perfect size! They’re my favorite that I’ve tried, but I know the brand So Delicious also makes ice cream sandwiches.

How To Make Your Own Ice Cream

Recently, I did a YouTube video showing you how I made my own ice cream from scratch using an ice cream maker. It’s a fun activity for the summer, so if that interests you, watch the video here!

And those are my recommendations! I hope this post helps you out somehow, and that you’re staying cool this summer.

Until next time, peace!
