Satisfy Your Cravings: How to Order Vegan at Taco Bell (Updated 2024)

As I’ve shared before on this website, navigating the world of ordering as a vegan at restaurants can sometimes feel a little tricky.

It’s hard to know just what menu items are safe, and it’s also annoying squinting at an allergen menu when you’re next in line.

That’s why I love to make posts like these, where I show you the menu items you can order vegan at a given establishment, all in a neat and condensed list you can quickly reference.

Today’s spotlighted restaurant is a favorite of many: Taco Bell.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Taco Bell is a restaurant where it’s actually very easy to order a vegan meal.

They offer several veggie-based options, thanks to the help of beans and potatoes, as well as the “fresco” option to remove any dairy ingredients from an item.

Today I plan to share in detail what items you can order from Taco Bell as a vegan. And I can assure you, you won’t leave hungry!

Read on to discover more of the delicious vegan options we have from Taco Bell:

  • Cheesy Bean & Rice Burrito (remove cheese)

  • Black Bean Chalupa Supreme (order fresco, which removes dairy ingredients and adds tomatoes, add potatoes if desired)

Burritos

  • Bean Burrito (order fresco, which removes dairy ingredients and adds tomatoes)

So as you can see, there are a diverse number of ordering options for any vegans hoping to enjoy a meal at Taco Bell.

One note I would have is that Taco Bell used to have a vegan nacho cheese sauce, to go along with their nacho fries (both of which were said to be certified vegan).

I truly hope that they bring this back in the future! It was a shame that they only had it for such a short time.

In any case, I hope that you’ve found this post helpful and that it enables you to order and enjoy foods you love with more ease.

Until next time, peace! 🙂
