Classic Avocado Toast
I would say that one of the best feelings in the world is slicing open an avocado and finding that it’s perfectly ripened. Not too hard, not too mushy–it truly feels like a victory for the day.
If you can find yourself a nicely-ripened avocado, avocado toast can be one of the easiest breakfasts you can make. Whether you like a guacamole-esque type of avocado toast, or a more deconstructed type of avocado toast (such as the recipe I’m sharing today), avocado toast is definitely something to keep in your list of staples.
What type of bread you choose is entirely up to you, though my personal preference is any whole wheat/whole grain seeded type bread. Ezekiel bread is honestly a great option, though I also have tried and enjoyed Dave’s Killer Bread. You could even make your own bread if you have the time, but I would highly recommend the two brands mentioned above.
This honestly came out so good, though I could recommend mashing the avocado into the toast with a fork before topping with other ingredients. Hot sauce is, of course, totally optional–but definitely recommended.
Enjoy!
