My Latest Thrive Market Haul (Review + Promo Code)

I’ve subscribed to Thrive Market in the past, but recently I decided to sign up again and see what they had. Now more than ever, I think it’s important to find value where we can, and so I wanted to see if they had any deals worth mentioning.
Was I happy with my purchase? Yes (I’ll get into details below). Would I keep ordering from them? Maybe, especially since having the yearly membership is a better value than doing it month-to-month.
But without further ado, let’s get into the haul.
The Haul

I have to make a note here that I really liked the way everything was packaged. It was obviously packed with care and thought, so nothing got damaged or crushed, which I did appreciate (especially since several of the items I ordered were in glass containers).

I ordered a lot of snacks, as this Thrive order wasn’t my main grocery shop for the week but rather a supplement. I really liked a lot of the options they had, many of which I don’t think I could find at my local grocery store.
I also got a killer deal on the vegan protein powder, the unsweetened variety, which is a flavor I have a tremendously hard time finding in-stores. So as you can imagine, I was beyond excited to find it on Thrive Market.
The Cost Breakdown & Review

Here’s a cost breakdown of everything I purchased:
- Siete Queso Chips: $5.38 ($2.69 a bag)
- Frankies Pickle Puffcorn: $5.54 ($2.77 a bag)
- Banza Chickpea Pasta: $4.68 ($2.84 a box)
- Daiya Ranch Dressing: $7.48 ($3.74 a bottle)
- Amara Mixed Berry Vegan Yogurt Snack: $4.27
- Amara carrot Raspberry Vegan Yogurt Snack: $4.27
- Credo Oatmilk Queso: $5.32
- Lily’s Dark Chocolate Baking Chips: $5.92
- SmartSweets Caramels: $4.78 ($2.39 each)
- Manitoba Harvest Protein Powder: $23.38 ($11.69 each)
- Thrive Market Popcorn Kernels: $1.89
- Native Forest Organic Coconut Cream: $3.38 ($1.69 each)
Total: $82.13 (including tax, shipping was free)
So yes, I did find some impressive deals. Truth be told, I spent a lot of time surfing the clearance section. But to be honest, I did find that some of the prices for non-clearance items weren’t exactly up to snuff (especially as a person who has Grocery Outlet in their arsenal).
I would recommend Thrive Market more as a supplement to regular grocery shopping (and be sure to check out the clearance section!) as opposed to a place to do all of it.
Pros & Cons

- PRO: Delivered straight to your door, which is convenient
- PRO: Easy-to-use app interface, including a way to search through products by what diet you follow
- PRO: Cheaper to use if you buy the annual membership, which is “risk-free”
- PRO: Lots of great products, including some that are harder to find in stores
- PRO: Every paid membership gives a free membership to someone in need
- PRO: Carbon neutral and has zero waste facilities, and all shipping materials are recyclable
- CON: Not all of the prices are good deals. Most of the good deals are found in the clearance section
- CON: Need to purchase the membership (monthly or annual) before you can shop on the site
So bottom line, would I recommend Thrive Market? If you can foot the membership fee, yes for the clearance rack stuff and the hard-to-find-in-stores stuff (and if you need your groceries delivered for one reason or another). But my heart first and foremost belongs to Grocery Outlet 🙂
