For a floral, sweet and dairy-free beverage that you can make at home for a fraction of the price of the real thing, this recipe fits the bill perfectly. Included is a simple instruction on how to make the purple cold foam as well!
1tbspvanilla-flavored coffee syrup(such as Torani or Jordan's Skinny Syrups)
1tsplavender extract(make sure it's food grade)
1cupoat milk
purple food coloring(up to 1/8th of a teaspoon)
ice, as desired
Instructions
Add desired amount of ice to a 16 ounce glass.
In a separate 1 cup liquid measuring cup, add the water and the matcha powder. Whisk using a whisk or a frother until combined and no matcha flecks remain. You may wish to use a matcha sieve to sift your matcha into the cup.
Pour the matcha mixture over the ice, then rinse and dry the measuring cup. Add the vanilla syrup, lavender extract, and oat milk to the measuring cup and whisk to combine.
To create purple cold foam: after whisking the oat milk mixture, save 3 tablespoons on the side before pouring the rest into the glass with the matcha mixture (you can stir the drink at this time). Stir up to 1/8th of a teaspoon of purple food coloring into the reserved oat milk, then whisk with a frother until foamy. Pour on top of the drink, then serve!
